The Project “Let’s Anticipate the Trouble”
The project “Let’s Anticipate the Trouble” focused on the early diagnostics of cancer is realized by the National Charitable Fund “Zaporuka”, as the project coordinator, together with the Charitable Fund “Vid Sertsya Do Sertsya” (Mykolaiv), the Charitable Fund “Kryla Nadii” (Lviv), the International Charitable Fund “Dar Nadii”, the Charitable Fund “Ukraino Ya Za Tebe”, the Charitable Fund “Viden” (Sumy), the volunteer groups in Kharkiv and Chernigiv, under the auspices of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. The project is supported financially by the Italian Association Soleterre.
According to the cancer rate among children Ukraine occupies one of the last places in the world but the children death rate because of cancer exceeds the world indices.
Reason: problems concerning diagnosing a disease in time and providing appropriate treatment.
The majority of state programmes and projects that are realized by the public organizations are not aimed at solving the problem of diagnosing cancer in time but at overcoming the consequences which appear because of a belated diagnosis.
In most cases the patients are hospitalized when they have 3rd or 4th stage cancer and, unfortunately, at these stages treatment doesn’t give any positive results.
That’s why the representatives of the public organizations and volunteer groups that help children ill with cancer in different regions of Ukraine decided to change the situation for the better by implementing the project “Let’s Anticipate the Trouble”.
The official site of the project is: www.cancerstop.org.ua
